Task: Use each of the nine scales in Example 25 to compose a melodic line of a few bars,
exploring the special characteristics of each one (there are two scales on each line, apart
from the final line). Vary the instruments.
Once again, speed, rhythm and dynamics will all play a part in the end result. The aim
in this task is also to illustrate the personality of the instrument you use in the music.
